Balfin Real Estate trains employees on legislation.

Protecting personal data and ensuring its proper treatment under the law remains a challenge for Albania. To address this issue, Balfin Real Estate has collaborated with DPO Albania to provide training for employees on relevant legislation. During the training, company experts shared concrete examples of situations where personal data has been misused and explained the legal implications in such cases. Edrin Fidho, the CEO of the company, emphasized the importance of a thorough understanding of the law and the necessary measures to prevent legal violations for every company.

Balfin Real Estate, part of the Balfin Group, is the first Real Estate company in Albania to take the initiative to train its employees on the legislation accompanying the processing of personal data. This initiative will serve to improve daily work practices by ensuring maximum protection of any sensitive data, both for clients and employees of the company. Ada Gramatiku, Legal Director at Balfin Real Estate, emphasized the importance of implementing the relevant legal framework in protecting every legal relationship. She also added that Balfin Real Estate, as a leading company in this field, is taking additional legal and technical measures to prepare and elevate how personal data is processed to another level. This aims to prevent any possible breaches, particularly in light of the new law in this field as part of alignment with the European GDPR convention.

The protection of personal data is a delicate issue in Albania, with a high number of violations recorded. In some cases, violations occur due to ignorance of the law, while in others, they are motivated by profit. Companies are often subject to fines that can result in serious damage to their image.
